Every 20 pupils have computer at Azerbaijani schools

At present, one computer falls to every 20 pupils in Azerbaijan, deputy head of the department under the Education Ministry Elina Rzayeva said.

Rzayeva said that computerization of Azerbaijani educational institutions began in 2005. These operations were conducted within the "Program of providing comprehensive schools in the Azerbaijani Republic with information and communication technologies in 2005-2007". After these operations, one computer falls to every 29 pupils.

After the operations were conducted to implement the "State program on informatization of educational system in the Azerbaijani Republic in 2008-2012", one computer falls to every 20 pupils, Rzayeva said.
