Turkish authorities will be committed to policy they have pursued thus far

10 May 2010 [11:44] - TODAY.AZ
“Resolution to the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict will certainly be discussed during Russian President Dmitry Medvedev’s talks with the Turkish leadership in Turkey,” Deputy Chairman of the New Azerbaijan Party (NAP), member of the Azerbaijani Milli Majlis (Parliament) Ali Ahmadov said.

The MP said he believes the Turkish authorities will be committed to the policy they have pursued thus far and will not reopen border with Armenia until Azerbaijan’s occupied lands are liberated.

"I think that Ankara will proceed precisely from this principle at a meeting with the Russian President. In terms of economy and other parameters, Turkey is developed nation which is able to get actively involved in ongoing process in the South Caucasus and Middle East. I do not think that some third country is able to exert pressure and force Turkey to change its policy," NAP Deputy Chairman noted.
