Azerbaijan is interested in deepening cooperation with U.S.: FM

Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov met with U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Russia, Ukraine and Eurasia Celeste Wallander to discuss bilateral cooperation as well as regional global security issues on Nov. 23.

Wallander said the U.S. praise Azerbaijan`s contribution to counter-terrorism operations, in particular, country`s efforts to establish peace and stability in Afghanistan.

Minister Mammadyarov said Azerbaijan and the U.S. cooperate in all spheres, adding the country is interested in deepening this cooperation.

The Minister pointed out Azerbaijan contributes to not only security in Afghanistan, but also humanitarian, education and other fields encouraging the population to live in normal conditions.
