President Ilham Aliyev received deputy secretary general of NATO John Kolstone who is on a visit to Azerbaijan.
APA was informed about from the press service of President’s Office.

I.Aliyev stressing the successful development of cooperation between Azerbaijan and NATO, official Baku’s presenting “Operating plan on individual partnership” evaluated as raising NATO-Azerbaijan relations to new stages. He said that Azerbaijan is devoted to the policy of integration into Euro-Atlantic structures, and that” Operating plan on individual partnership” makes NATO and Azerbaijan more close.

Reminding the active participation of Azerbaijan in the peaceful operations in different parts of the world, President stressed the cooperation between Azerbaijan and NATO will further expand.

John Kolstone stated that the relations between Azerbaijan and NATO are expanding and highly appreciated the active participation of Azerbaijan in the peaceful operations in different parts of the world. Emphasizing that Azerbaijan takes an active part in “Partnership for peace” program, the visitor called the seminar held in Baku on border security matters in the frame of Euro-Atlantic Partnership Council to be good example of it.
