The main reason for the freezing of Turkish-Armenian normalization is the Karabakh conflict - such point of view expressed Senior Research Associate at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, author of the "Black Garden" book about Karabakh conflict, Thomas de Waal.
"Turkey insisted on tying the Karabakh issue to the normalization process, although its not pointed out in the signed protocols", said de Waal.
"Unfortunately, Minsk process, at this moment is a dead end. This time, Armenia does not wish to accept the final example of Madrid Principles. Although, the Karabakh conflict itself is full of deep problems and difficulties", he said.
