The Eastern Partnership initiative, voiced by the European commission, is just a proposal and not an adopted decision, said EU special representative on South Caucasus states Peter Semneby.

"This program was elaborated in the light of the recent developments in the region, war in Georgia, as well as concerns of the South Caucasus countries on security issues. It envisions closer relations with the South Caucasus states, Ukraine, Moldova and Belarus and envisions cooperation with the countries in a form of association agreements", said he.
He said the program is mainly connected with trade relations, energy issues and stability.
"All these issues can be discussed with EU. These are papers which the countries will have on their tables in the next three months", said Semneby.
