Azerbaijani Foreign Minister receives member of US Congress

The senator expressed his satisfaction with the visit to Baku in the framework of the visit to the South Caucasus and Middle Asia and noted that the aim of the visit is a search of opportunities for development of relations between Azerbaijan and the United States and studying the region.

In turn, Mamedyarov welcomed the visits of senior officials of the United States to Azerbaijan and noted that these visits play a role in deepening relations between the two countries.

At the meeting the sides discussed the current situation in cooperation between the United States and Azerbaijan, energy projects, conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia, as well as guarantees of security in the region.
