Chairman of Azerbaijan Green Party to appeal to Constitutional court against CEC

He said the Supreme Court did not grant the party's appeal, according to which the Central Election Commission did not register the candidate from the party, claiming that over 10,000 signatures were invalid.

"The court hearing was held in the absence of the CEC representatives. The judge heard our accusations, but upheld the decision of the Constitutional Court.

We will fight against this impunity as long as we can and we are planning to appeal to the Constitutional Court on this issue. I'm planning to leave for Paris, along with the party co-chair, to attend the session of the world Green Parties. In the framework of this visit, I will provide the complete information about the pre-election situation in the country", noted he.

Notably, CEC refused to register chairman of the Azerbaijan Green Party Mais Gulaliyev as a presidential candidate, who nominated his candidacy from the green policy initiative group.
