Tereqqi party creates election campaign teams

"The Tereqqi party and Ata bloc, functioning in Azerbaijan, plan to participate in the upcoming presidential elections with their candidate", said Tereqqi party chairman Chingiz Demiroghlu.

He said the bloc and the party nominated his candidacy for the president.

"I respect the decision of the party and the bloc, yet, I consider that our political structure should join the elections on the basis of the maneuver principle. We will nominate our candidacy, yet depending on the situation we may change our decision. The political atmosphere in the country is becoming tenser and if there is another candidate for president, who has more chances, I will withdraw my candidacy", noted he.

Damiroghlu also added that due to participation in the elections, the party has already initiated creation of the election campaign teams. They are planned to function in Baku and Ganja.
