Azerbaijani President inaugurates several establishments in Agjabadi, Azerbaijan

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev paid a visit to Agjabadi.

President visited Heydar Aliyev’s monument and attended the inauguration of Heydar Aliyev's Museum. He also participated in the event on restoration of natural gas supply in the region.

Shahin Mammadov, head of the Agjabadi Executive Power spoke about measures taken in the region. He stated that 20 schools were built, new jobs were created, and natural gas supply was restored. Mammadov said that there are problems with fresh water in the region and asked President to assist in their settlement.

Azerigas” JSC President Alikhan Malikov addressing the event said that 51 km gas pipeline was constructed in the Barda-Agjabadi direction, and 80% of the country was provided with natural gas. Region’s respected person Agil Muradov said that Agjabadi people will support Ilham Aliyev in the forthcoming presidential elections.

The head of state addressing the event said that all works had been successful. The head of the state said that expenses of state budget of Azerbaijan comprised $12 billion and mentioned that Azerbaijan ranks 61 in the economic-finance rating of international organizations. Azerbaijan leaves CIS countries behind with such anindicator. Following this, Ilham Aliyev attended the opening of a 24-flat residential building constructed for martyrs’ families and war veterans in Agjabadi. The orders of the flats were presented to the owners.

President’s visit to Agjabadi has come to an end.
