Nazim Ibrahimov meets with Israeli officials

Chief of the State Committee on Azerbaijanis Living Abroad Nazim Ibrahimov held several meetings in Jerusalem.

Ibrahimov met with Ze'ev Boim, Minister of Immigrant Absorptionl. This Ministry deals with settling repatriates (Jews coming to Israel from different countries of the world) and their integration into the society.

Ibrahimov and Boim stressed the contribution of immigrants from Azerbaijan to the development of Israel. The sides also stressed the efficiency of development of relations between two countries.

The State Committee chief of also met with vice-speaker of Israeli Parliament Amnon Koen. Mutual relations, situation in the Middle East and South Caucasus, maintenance of peace and stability in these regions were discussed.

Then Alex Shapiro, one of the heads of the Israel-Azerbaijan International Association, which is to be established, gave a reception in honor of Azerbaijani delegation.

The constituent congress of Israel-Azerbaijan International Association will be held in Tel Aviv on April 12, APA Israel bureau reports.
