Parliament's Toponymy Commission appeals to region administrations

27 March 2007 [19:39] - TODAY.AZ
Parliament's Toponymy Commission appealed to region administrations, chief of the commission, academician Budag Budagov said.

The commission chief said that there are settlements that have no official names.

"Such settlements should have official names. Every street should have name," he told the APA.

The academician thinks that such places should be named at the request of local people and geographical names should predominate.

Budagov underlined that geographical names in Azerbaijan are distinct.
