GUUAM is now GUAM

The decision was made by other members of the organization. It is said in the statement of Foreign Ministry of Moldova which is the chairman of the organization made yesterday.

According to the statement, the union called GUAM is voluntary organization; every country determines voluntarily whether to participate here: “Therefore, the decision of Tashkent will not influence our friendship and partnership relations with Uzbekistan”.

GUAM returned to the initial situation by this. It must be noted that, the organization was established by Georgia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan and Moldova in 1997 and Uzbekistan joined them two years later.
