CIS member states to discuss emergency response cooperation in Dushanbe

The 19th meeting of the CIS Council on Health Cooperation is slated for October 15 in Dushanbe.

The Council members will discuss over 20 issues, including draft agreement on emergency response cooperation towards sanitation and epidemiological safety of population with the participation of Russian special anti-epidemic teams and creation of interstate information and analytical center on notification and emergency response.

The CIS Council on Health cooperation was established in 1992. The Council includes deputy ministers of health and senior sanitary inspectors of CIS member states.

The World Health Organization, Joint United Nations program on AIDS/HIV, World Health Assembly and UNICEF provide support to the CIS Council on Cooperation in the field of Health.
