Turkish Armed Forces complete operation in northern Iraq

The operation, launched by Turkish Armed Forces in northern Iraq after Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) militants committed a terror act against Turkish military, ended today, Vatan newspaper said.

According to the Turkish General Staff, the operation lasted five days. It was headed by Chief of General Staff Necdet Ozen. About 5,000 servicemen participated in the operation. About 49 PKK terrorists were neutralized.
