On the eve of the holidays, there was news in the Armenian
media, which, although it caused a ferment, was not a priority at that time.
There was a military parade on the way, and all the opposition's attention was
focused on it.
The opposition woke up when the topic of the parade left the
agenda and there was no need to spread it. The public was not interested in the
insinuations of the opposition about what the current Armenian army is armed
with.
And the post-holiday propaganda decided to return to the
topic of the "representation" of Karabakh separatists in Yerevan.
A week ago, the Administrative Court granted the request of
the Armenian Prosecutor General's Office to recognize the state registration of
property rights of the non-existent "NKR" to the separatist-occupied
building in Yerevan as invalid. Roman Yeritsyan, Samvel Shahramanyan's lawyer,
reported about this "tragedy" on social networks. The lawyer called
this decision a "disgrace" and promised to appeal it.
To add flavor to the news, it was stated that the Yerevan
Azerbaijani State Drama Theater, which was deported from Armenia in 1988, had
its eye on the building.Jabbarly. Without this "side dish," the news
about the separatists being deprived of their illegally occupied premises did
not elicit the necessary reaction from the public.
For this, Samvel Karapetyan's nephew Narek even called an
emergency press conference. He stated that this theater was created in Baku in
December of this year specifically for the purpose of its further relocation to
Yerevan.
It has long been noted that the Armenian opposition holds the electorate for, sorry, idiots. When the Armenian nationalists started a bloody conflict in the late 80s, there was still no Internet, social networks, Wikipedia and other ways to get information. The Armenian society focused only on what filled its ears from the stands and squares. But today, anyone can look into Google and search for any topic. This includes learning that the Yerevan Azerbaijan State Drama Theater will soon turn one hundred years old. It was not created in December 2026. In December 2026, the renovation of the building in which he is located in Baku was completed, having been deported from Yerevan in the year of his 60th birthday.
May the revanchist offended by God be aware that the decree
of the Government of the Armenian SSR "On the establishment of the State
Turkish Theater in Irevan" was signed in March 1928. In 1935, the theater
was named after Jafar Jabbarli. In 1948, the Yerevan (Irevan had already become
Yerevan) State Azerbaijani Theater was accused of "nationalism" and
transferred from the capital to the Basarkech district (now Vardenis) in
connection with the mass deportation of Azerbaijanis from Armenia. It was
closed in 1949. The theater was restored in 1967.
This is open information. Karapetyan's team forces Armenians
to look for a black cat in a dark room, knowing full well that it is not there.
But for us, there really is a curious nuance in all this
hysteria. It turns out that the Azerbaijani Drama Theater was located in
Yerevan in the building that was later transferred to the "diplomatic
mission of Artsakh." It happened at the beginning of the two thousandth.
In 2017, the Cadastre Committee registered ownership of the property with the
"NKR government". After the anti-terrorist operation in September
2023, the building became the headquarters of the separatists. In 2025, the
Armenian Prosecutor General's Office filed a lawsuit with the Administrative
Court demanding that the state registration of the ownership of the
non-existent "government" of the non-existent "NKR" for
this building be invalidated. The court granted the claim, as a result of which
the state registration of the separatist party's ownership rights was declared
invalid, and the building was placed at the disposal of the Government of the
Republic of Armenia. At the same time, cases were initiated on the deprivation
of a number of figures during the occupation of the right of ownership of real
estate in Yerevan.
Despite the attempt of the revanchists to squeeze out howls
of indignation from their fellow tribesmen, more interesting facts can be
learned from the Armenian media. The journalists found out that after the 2020
war, the leader of the separatist regime, Arayik Harutyunyan, mortgaged the building
for 800 thousand dollars in the so-called "artsakhbank". He felt,
apparently, that he would no longer need it.
As you know, last week, after lengthy discussions, the
National Assembly introduced amendments to the Civil Code of the Republic of
Armenia, as well as to the Law "On State Registration of Legal Entities,
Separate Entities, Institutions and Individual Entrepreneurs."
Previously, illegal structures registered during the
occupation in Karabakh were given until December 31, 2024 to re-register in the
Republic of Armenia in order to continue their activities. The Armenian media
reports that due to the fact that the government has bought out some
obligations on property located in the territory of the Republic of Armenia,
which means that the right to it passes to the government. It is not known what
Arayik Harutyunyan spent the $800,000 he received, but the mortgaged building,
judging by the publications, was bought by the Government of the Republic of
Armenia. This means that the separatists have no right to challenge the
decision of the Administrative Court.
In principle, official Yerevan, implementing a peaceful
agenda, could have administratively closed down the separatist shop and
dispersed Shahramanyan and his gang for threatening peace and stability three
years ago. But in Armenia, it was impossible to resolve such an issue in this
way. No, no, not at all because of the excess of democracy, but for a
completely different reason. For the Armenian society, which has so far
remained in thrall to propaganda, a legal justification for such a step was
necessary. This building ceased to belong to the separatists even when it was
founded by Harutyunyan, but they continued to consider it their own.
It was no coincidence that the nest of separatists was
located in the building where the Yerevan Azerbaijani Drama Theater was located
before the conflict. More precisely, he was not there, but gave performances.
Over the years of its existence in Yerevan, the Azerbaijani Drama Theater has
not received its own building. So Narek Karapetyan has nothing to worry about.
If the Armenian society ever really recovers enough so that
the Azerbaijanis can return to their lands, then the theater will appear. And
not in a building whose walls are soaked with the fumes of hatred.
And in general, attempts by revanchists to earn points in the run-up to the elections are becoming more and more ugly. This indicates the weakness of their positions and the lack of sound arguments. We hope that the sober-minded part of Armenian society, which does not suffer from phobias, will draw the right conclusions from this.
