Georgian Prosecutor's Office arrests organized group of 19 members

Prosecutor's Office of Georgia revealed Wednesday details of large scale anti corruption operation, which resulted in a detention of 19 people.

Reportedly, the law enforcers arrested the directors of Agro Group, Kaspi, Gurjaani factories, who are suspected of appropriating 6,5 million GEL obtained via the governmental program of assistance to small business, the Cheap Loans, for the benefit of their private businesses in different sector.

This is not the first fact of machinations carried out by the Agrogroup Company. 12 employs of the company are complaining about their unpaid salaries for past several months. According to the Kakheti Information Center, nine employs were sent to different regions of Georgia for work, but they were not paid anyway. In addition, these people were deprived of all necessary documents, which could be used as evidence of their work.
