Iran holds military parade

A military parade is held today on the occasion of the Day of Armed Forces of Iran in Tehran, Iranian television’s official website iribnews reported.

The military parade is attended by all units of the Iranian Armed Forces, the Sepah Corps, Land Forces and Air Forces. The parade is held in front of the mausoleum of former supreme spiritual leader Ayatollah Khomeini. Iranian President and other countries’ officials are observing the parade.

Military aircrafts will carry out flights at the parade. Iranian Armed Forces’ latest achievements are demonstrated at the parade. In addition, in-flight refueling of a SU 24 aircraft by another aircraft of the same type will be demonstrated at the parade for the first time.

Iran marks the Day of the Armed Forces on April 18.
