Sarkozy tasks government to prepare new bill on 'Armenian genocide'

French President Nicolas Sarkozy ordered the government to prepare a new bill providing criminalizing denial of so-called "Armenian genocide", Turkish television CNN Turk.

The Constitutional Court of France repealed a law criminalizing denial of the so-called "Armenian genocide" on Tuesday, which was adopted by the country's Senate, SABAH and HABERTURK reported.

Relevant information has been posted on the official website of the Constitutional Council of France. The Council justified it by the fact that the law contradicts Article 33 of the Constitution of France and freedom of speech.
