Muasir Musavat party chairman receives Swedish ambassador to Azerbaijan

Party chairman Khafiz Gajiyev told Day.Az that the meeting participants discussed election situation in the country and observance of major human rights.

"Our party will take part in presidential elections, therefore, it is necessary to think over all the steps in advance. The sides discussed political situation which may establish if I take the second place in the presidential elections".

Currently, definite representatives of radical opposition announce that a situation, similar to that in Armenia, may occur following elections. However, we think that elections can be transparent in Azerbaijan", he noted.

The sides reached an agreement that both sides will further cooperate and implement a number of strategic programs.
