Children's Cinema House to host a memorial evening dedicated to Azerbaijani director

On April 17, the Children's Cinema House will host a memorial evening devoted to the honored art figure, the State Prize laureate Rasim Ismailov, as well as a display of the film for children "Asif, Vasif, Agasif" directed by him and a meeting with the film crew.

Ismailov Rasim Rza oglu (13.07.1936-04.05.2004) was an Azerbaijani film director and cameraman. The honored art figure (1976), the State Prize laureate (1978) graduated the Cameraman's Faculty of the All-Union Institute of Cinematography (1962). His active years started in 1957 at the studio "Azerbaijanfilm". He was one of the creators of animations. "Speaking Lights" (1965, director and scriptwriter), "The Red, Black and the others" (1969, director and scriptwriter), "Prometey-69" (1969) etc.

His short story "Through the Mountain Forest" is the debut in film almanac "Whom we Love Most of all" (1964). He is a director of photography of the films "Life is wonderful, my brother" (1966), "Invincible Battalion" (1965, together with Kh. Babayev), "Soil, Sea, Fire, Sky" (1967), "Sevil" (1970), "Wish to have seven sons" (1970, Azerbaijani Komsomol Prize), "The Last Pass" (1971), "A Day has Passed" (1971), "Nesimi" (1973, the 2nd Prize at YKF, Baku 1974), "Dede Gorgud" (1975), "Four Sundays" (1975), "Preoccupations about Happiness" (1976), "A Bay of Joy" (1977); Azerbaijan State Prize 1978, "Babek" (1979). The film "A Lion Left the House" (1977, together with a director of photography Sh. Sharifov) is the debut of R. Ismailov. He is a director of the feature films "The Form of Moment" (1980, together with Y. Varnovski), "A Business Trip" (1982), "Asif, Vasif, Agasif" (1983), "I Was Head over Heels in Love with You") (1985), "A Private Visit to German Clinic" (1988), "The Trap" (1990).
