Azerdemiryolbank spends major part of EBRD credit line

One of the largest private banks in Azerbaijan, Azerdemiryolbank, said it already spent $2.3m of the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development's credit lines totaling $3m.

The money was lent to more than eight hundred local businessmen, Azerdemiryolbank said.

Last year, the Bank lent ?1m to small and medium-sized enterprises.

The credit line was received from KfW, a German development bank.

Today Azerdemiryolbank, which has ten branches, four of them in the capital, Baku, and six in provinces, provides a wide range of financial services both to companies and individuals.

The size of the credits businessmen can take from Azerdemiryolbank differs between $100 and $100,000. AzerTAg
