In addition to the preparation of comprehensive action plans by the State of Azerbaijan to ensure the Great Return of our territories liberated from occupation, very important practical activities have been initiated in this direction.

The issues of research of the liberated lands of Karabakh assign important tasks to the scientists engaged in scientific activities related to the agricultural sphere. To this end, Director General of the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry of the Ministry of Science and Education Alovsat Guliyev, a corresponding member of ANAS, met with Mustagim Mammadov, head of the executive authority of Tartar district.

It was reported that during the meeting discussions were held on the scientific activities of the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry and the principle of joint work to conduct soil research in Tartar district, especially in the territories liberated from occupation. They also discussed the establishment of joint cooperation and organization of scientific research between the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry and research institutions in the Tartar district.

Later, soil samples were taken for analyses on arable land in the area of vegetable gardens and grain fields for soil assessment. For monitoring purposes, soil samples were taken from the liberated village of Chayli and other areas of the Tartar district, and the area was visually examined.

The State of Azerbaijan has taken a great step forward in ensuring the Great Return. Through the development of a comprehensive action plan, Azerbaijan is committed to ensuring the rights and freedoms of its citizens, while also protecting the environment and promoting economic development.

The action plan is focused on four key areas: strengthening institutions and good governance; enhancing economic development and market opportunities; boosting connectivity, energy efficiency, environment, and climate action; and allowing for mobility and people-to-people contacts.

To support these efforts, the European Union (EU) and the World Bank (WB) have signed an Administrative Agreement for the Azerbaijan Rapid Technical Assistance Facility (AZTAF). This three-year program, with a total budget of EUR 5.25 million, funded by the EU and managed by the World Bank, aims to provide advisory and analytical support and capacity building to the Government of Azerbaijan in line with the Azerbaijan 2030 National Priorities.
