Suspicious points occurred in the Azerbaijani plane crash in Afghanistan, head of the commission to investigate the crash, the vice-president of "Azerbaijan Airlines” (AZAL) Ilham Amirov said at today’s press conference.

To him, the investigation committee learned that the area of the crash is not consistent with previously provided route.

Amirov noted that information obtained after decoding the "black box" and information taken from the dispatch screen at Bagram airport, showed that the landing was made not on the route: “The plane was supposed to enter the airport from the east side, but flew into the south-west side. While flying from this direction is not implemented. Wreckage located at 40-45 km from the airport. We are suspicious that the accident took place not on the route location. Commission will investigate the reasons on it and other issues”.

Amirov added that one of the "black box" could not be found: “One of these boxes controls the activities of technical systems, and the other - records a conversation between the crew and with dispatch service on the ground. The second box was found and the data on the existing record is in Azerbaijan. Analysis of records showed that the aircraft deviated from the prescribed route. Investigations have shown that the likelihood of impact of external factors that led to the collapse of the aircraft is zero”.
