Azerbaijani new three-time champion, Aliya Garaeva, won three medals - one silver and two bronze at Grand Prix tournament in Innsbruck, Austria.
The press office of the Azerbaijani Gymnastics Federation, all of her awards were won in the individual finals. She won "silver" in the exercise with a ribbon (28.225 points), and "Bronze" - in the exercise with a rope (27.425) and a hoop (27.95).
"Capturing 3 medals in a single tournament is a very honorable mission. Pity, there is no gold though. Russian gymnasts won all the first prizes. According to the plan, I have a competition in Brazil on July 1-4. I will also try to perform with dignity and clear my bar," Garayeva said.
Azerbaijani second representative at the Grand Prix Anna Gurbanova ranked seventh in the exercise with a skipping rope and eighth with a ribbon. Azerbaijani young gymnasts won a lot of medals at the tournament in Tashkent.
A 14-year-old Aisha Mustafayeva ranked first in her age group both in all-around competitions, and the finals with a skipping rope and a ball. An eleven-year-old Janet Mammadova also won a gold medal in the finals with a ball, and a silver medal - in all-around competitions. In this age category Mehpara Mansurova ranked second with a skipping rope, and the third - in the all-around competitions and a ball. A nine-year-old young participant, Nurana Mansurova ranked first in her age group.
Another international tournament in rhythmic gymnastics "Baltic Cup" ended in Poland. Dina Gorina represented Azerbaijan there. She performed in three separate finals after the sixth place in the all-around competitions. Gorins showed her best result with a ball (25.5 points) and ranked seventh. She ranked eighth with a hoop and a ribbon. Polish gymnast Joanna Mitrosz gained the victory.
Head coach of the Azerbaijani team Mariana Vasileva was pleased with the gymnast's estimates who performed with the temperature. Nevertheless, Gorina managed to get the title "Miss Photo" as a result of the competitions.
