Over 60 people were held accountable for ecological crimes in Azerbaijan during six months.

"Roughly 93 ecological crimes were prevented as a result of measures taken. Roughly 82 facts of illegal fishing and hunting were revealed. Roughly 11 facts of illegal cutting down of trees were revealed," deputy interior minister Vilayat Eyvazov said at staff meeting on July 31.
Roughly 67 people were convicted. But administrative measures were imposed towards 344 people, deputy minister said.
