Stray dog infected with Bird flu

Bird Flu virus "A" type discovered in a stray dog in Baku city, State Commission on Preventing Bird Flu epidemic announced.

Virus was discovered in a dog from Binagadi District. Laboratory tests are in progress, the Commission informs.

According to the Commission report the virus was discovered in the birds from Khizi, Bilasuvar and Fizuli regions of Azerbaijan.

Report also states as migratory birds are living the country the death cases among the birds has declined.
