“We are providing information for American citizens to increase their awareness of potential threats so that they can prudently plan their travel and conduct while abroad”.
“Based on credible threat information, the embassy reiterated its January 29, 2011 alert to U.S. citizens of the potential for terrorist attacks in Azerbaijan, including against American interests”, said Keith Bean. “As a matter of policy we do not comment on the nature or source of the threat information, but we deem the threats to be credible and encourage Americans to remain vigilant. We continue to work normally”.
