GUAM has significant potential: Georgia’s parliamentary majority head

GUAM has significant potential, as its member states have common interests while the CIS is the union of conflicting interests, leader of Georgia’s parliamentary majority David Darchiashvili said ahead of the GUAM meeting in Tbilisi.

“It is important for the GUAM members to have a specific attitude to the EU. GUAM has a potential to develop a common direction with the EU under the policy of "Eastern Partnership", he said.

The meeting will focus on geopolitical environment of GUAM and its impact on cooperation within the organization, as well as regional security issues.
