Lithuania ready to assist Azerbaijani businessmen in entering European market: FM

The Lithuanian government is ready to assist Azerbaijani businessmen in entering the European market, Lithuanian Foreign Minister Vygaudas Usackas told journalists in Baku on April 8.
"Lithuania is a member of the European Union (EU) [:] and we hope the Azerbaijani businessmen will use this opportunity as a bridge to the EU market and advance their economic interest by assisting the Lithuanian economy," Usackas said.

The foreign minister said Lithuania hopes to open the Trade House in Azerbaijan. "We are too glad that trade between Azerbaijan and Lithuania is increasing and the Azerbaijani businessmen invest in Lithuania's economy," the minister said.

The Lithuanian Foreign Minister is in Baku with an official visit. The minister met with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov during the visit. The meetings focused on perspectives of the two countries' cooperation.
