The standing committee and CE bureau decided not to discuss the presidential elections in Azerbaijan at the PACE winter session, said head of the Azerbaijani delegation Samed Seidov, who attend the session of the standing committee.

He said the decision is explained by the fact that the elections completely reflected the will of the Azerbaijani people.
"Five parties rejected participation in the elections, stating that conditions for fair competition have not been created in the country. The decision of the CE standing committee says with reference to observers mission from this organization that the refusal of the five parties to take part in the elections was a political maneuver.
The mission noted that the refusal of these parties was connected with a wish to preserve the influence until the next parliamentary elections", said Seidov.
He noted that the decision of the standing committee says that the elections were well arranged and the electoral law is improved.
