U.S. Special Envoy to OIC visits Azerbaijan Nov. 21-22

Sada Cumber, the U.S. Special Envoy to the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC), will visit Azerbaijan Nov. 21-22 to exchange views with senior government leaders, religious community leaders and civil society representatives. report sources from the US embassy to Azerbaijan.

Appointed by President George W. Bush early in 2008, Ambassador Cumber represents U.S. views before the OIC and seeks to promote improved dialogue and understanding between the United States and Muslim communities around the world.

Sada Cumber, born in Pakistan and an American citizen since 1986, was an entrepreneur and investor based in Austin, Texas, prior to his appointment as the Special Envoy to the OIC. As Special Envoy, his is employing his multicultural background and extensive business, social and political skills to promote cooperation across cultures, to support international economic development and help advance meaningful dialogue among the world’s religious communities.
