Ilham Aliyev to visit Maldives

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will pay an official visit to Maldives in the first half of 2008.

The due information has been provided by ambassador of Azerbaijan to India, Sri-Lanka and Maldives Tamerlan Garayev.

He noted that the visit will be held by the invitation of President of Maldives Mamun Abdul Gayom, adding that the president of Maldives also intend to visit Azerbaijan this year.

A delegation of the Maldives National Agency for Export visited Azerbaijan in November of the last year to hold talks on purchase of energy sources.
