Legal evaluation of Armenia's occupation of Azerbaijani lands spread in UN

The document "Military occupation of Azerbaijani lands: legal evaluation" has been spread in the UN General Assembly and Security Council.

According to the press service of the Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan, the document has been worked out by the Department for External Policy Planning and Strategic Studies under the Foreign Ministry and presented to the United Nations by the permanent representative of Azerbaijan in this organization Agshin Mekhtiyev.

The accompanying letter of A.Mekhtiyev addressed to the UN Secretary General reads that significant part of Azerbaijan is still under occupation.

"Moreover, the Armed Forces of Armenia often violate ceasefire. Only in August the positions of Azerbaijani armed forces were fired at in the Geranboy, Terter, Agdam, Khojavend, Fizuli, Qazakh, Gedabek regions for 165 times. It should be noted, in particular, that Qazakh and Gedabek regions are beyond the contact line of the sides. They locate directly on the border with Armenia", the letter reads.
