Ambassador Polad Bulbuloglu visited Shusha

Azerbaijani ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to Russia Polad Bulbuloglu, rector of Baku Music Academy Farhad Badalbayli and principal of Baku Slavic University Kamal Abdulla visited Armenian-occupied Azerbaijani territories.

They left for Shusha today by a special helicopter after OSCE monitoring.

Arkadi Gukasyan, ‘president’ of so called ‘Nagorno Karabakh Republic’ received Azerbaijani visitors.

Former Culture Minister of Armenia, Armenian ambassador to Russia Armen Smbasyan also participated at the meeting, APA reports quoting Panarmenian agency.

Arkadi Gukasyan underlined that atmosphere of mutual confidence should be established between Azerbaijan and Nagorno Karabakh people. Calling the visitors “peoples’ ambassadors” Gukasyan appraised their visit underlining such visits would positively impact on creating a credible atmosphere regarding the settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict. He said calls for war would only protract the solution of the problem.

Foreign Ministry press center head Khazar Ibrahim confirmed the report adding polad Bulbuloglu made this visit together with Armenian ambassador to Russia and former culture minister of Armenia Armen Smbasyan The ministry spokesman said this visit was at the level of former culture ministers. “The visit aims to build trust,” he stressed.

Ambssador Bulbuloglu refused to speak to APA regarding the visit.
