President Aliyev receives credentials from new Iranian and Lithuanian ambassadors

Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev today received credentials from the newly appointed ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Azerbaijan Nasir Hamidi Zare.

The head of state said that the relations between the two countries are developing, and there is successful cooperation in all spheres.

"We want to expand this cooperation. Ambassadors play important role, and I want you to be active," the president said.

The ambassador said he will do his best to contribute to the deepening of the relations between the two countries.

President Ilham Aliyev also received the credentials from newly appointed ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Lithuania to Azerbaijan Kestutis Kudzmanas.

The president said the relations between the two countries have developed since they gained their independence and new stage of the bilateral relations started after Lithuanian President Valdas Adamkus' visit to Azerbaijan.

President Ilham Aliyev expressed confidence that the relations and regional cooperation will continue to develop.

The ambassador noted that he will do his best to expand relations between the two countries. APA
