Report may stir Azeri-Lebanese diplomatic row

A diplomatic row may arise between Azerbaijan and Lebanon after a report was published on the Lebanese President Emile Lahoud's website saying the head of state has recently met with the foreign minister of the self-proclaimed Nagorno Karabakh Republic Georgi Serasian.

According to Assa-Irada, official Baku is now studying the evidence concerning the relations between Lebanon and the separatist regime, the Foreign Ministry spokesman Tahir Taghizadeh said.

"It is not ruled out that we will take decisive steps if the facts are proven," he warned.
