Number of foreign players ups in Azerbaijan’s insurance market

The number of foreign insurance, reinsurance and broker companies operating in the country has risen. State Insurance Supervision Service under Finance Ministry of Azerbaijan has reported that in April 3 foreign brokers, 1 insurance company and 1 reinsurance company were included in the registry.

" On 4 April 2012 British broker company Balley, Ross & White Limited, on 6 April- Russian companies " Landcaster Insurance broker " and "Lanark Insurance Broker" were included in the registry",- the report says.

The report also adds that on 4 April Russian LLC " Insurance Company Agreement " was included in the registry of foreign insurance companies operating in Azerbaijan , and Kuwaiti  «Kuwait Reinsurance Company (K.S.C)»- to the registry of foreign reinsurance companies.

At present 67 foreign insurance companies, 4 reinsurance and 46 insurance broker companies have been included in the registry. No individuals ,acting as insurance brokers have been registered in Azerbaijan.
