Neymar has netted his first la Liga goal with Barcelona in its sixth season tie. The Brazilian opened the scoring against Real Sociedad, picking up a mistake by the centre-backs and Bravo, and putting it away without opposition – a strike more typical of a centre-forward. It is his second goal in a competitive match, having previously hit the mark in the first leg of the Spanish Super Cup against Atlético.
The Brazilian striker also set Messi up for the 2-0. He has now provided assists in the last four Spanish league matches - three of which were finished by Messi – against Valencia, Sevilla, and on Tuesday, against Real Sociedad. He also put in a pass which led to a goal by Pedro at the Vallecas stadium.
Although the coaching team was considering resting him against Real due to the number of games he has played, in the end, Neymar again lined up in the starting eleven. Looking steadily more comfortable with his new team, the Brazilian star is delivering on all fronts.
