Azerbaijani sensation at European Chess Championship

The European Woman individual Chess Championshi started in Gaziantep, Turkey yesterday. The Azerbaijani chess players also joined the event.


In the first round Zeynab Mammadyarova played a draw with European champion Yekaterina Lango from Ukraine, and Khayala Abdullah conceded the former world champion Alexandra Kostenyuk of Russia. However, Gulnar Mammadova made a sensation defeating  Nana Dzagnidze, who recently become the  winner of the ACP Women Cup.
