Muhammad Abdullah wins Intel ISEF

Grandson of the famous Azerbaijani writer Gulhusein Huseynoglu, the 18-year-old Muhammad Abdullah, who lives and studies in the U.S., has taken the first place in mathematics at the International Scientific and Engineering Exhibition Intel ISEF in Pittsburgh.

This year the jury selected 46 projects in eight categories. The first place was occupied by 12 students (seven projects), the second place - 28 students (15 projects), the third place - 39 students (24 projects), Trend Life reported.

Muhammad, who participated with the project "Fine Classification of Minimal Orbits in Dynamic Systems", was awarded a cash prize of $8,500 and was invited to attend the Nobel Prize Ceremonies to be held in Stockholm in December.

The International Scientific and Engineering Exhibition Intel ISEF was held on May 13-18. More than 1,800 students from 75 countries took part in the event.

Two projects of Azerbaijani students were also awarded. Students of the lyceum named after academician Zarifa Aliyeva, Javid Huseynzade (10th grade) and Jeyla Huseynzade (9th grade) received $5,000 cash prize from the Oracle Academy, the world leader in the technology field for their TreLop project, called the ideal project in the field of programming.

For their research project "The Role of the Electromagnetic Field in Changing the Physico-Chemical Properties of Oil" students of the 10th grade Aliaga Abdullayev and Adnan Bunyatov won in the nomination "UN Purposes for Sustainable Development". They received $1,000 cash prize from the Small Scientific Academy of the Ukrainian National Center, which operates at UNESCO.

ISEF is an international event for teenagers from 13 years to 18 years, which aims not only to identify and support talented young scientists, but also to develop research in applied and fundamental sciences, as well as technical creativity.
