Oil reserves discovered in Turkey

07 September 2011 [19:18] - TODAY.AZ
Oil reserves have been found in the Turkish area of Kazdagi after two years of research, CNN Turk reported.

Merty Energy conducted the research operations in this area.

Turkey depends on oil imports, as domestic production volumes are insufficient to meet the country's needs for hydrocarbons.

Turkey plays an important role in the oil transit from Russia, the Caspian region and from Middle East to Europe.
