Heavy snowfall in eastern Turkey

Turkey's eastern Anatolia region continues to receive heavy snowfall on Monday.

Temperatures in Ardahan province dropped to minus two Celsius degrees on Sunday night.

Eastern Anatolia is also receiving rainfall in certain regions. Nine village roads in Erzurum province have been closed to traffic due to snowfall. Road crews are working to open these roads to traffic.

On Sunday night, temperature in Erzurum province was measured as minus one Celsius degrees. Weather Department in Erzurum announced that snowfall would continue in the region until the weekend.
