Football fans to be sentenced to 2-year imprisonment for chanting obscenities in Turkey

The Turkish parliament approved legislation aimed at fighting hooliganism at football matches and other sports events, AP reports.The legislation introduces two years in prison for fans who chant racial slurs during the matches and 1 year for spectators who bring guns, sharp objects or flares to competitions.
