Cemetery tombstones in Iran resemble...intimate organs of men and women

According to the historian Ali Rza Hisar, Khalid Nabi, who was born in Yemen 40 years before the Prophet Muhammad and who spread Christianity in several countries, including Iran, is buried in a tomb on a hill overlooking the cemetery.

However, his daughter was converted to Islam by Prophet Mohammad. Since then, the remains of Khalid Nabi were moved to the top of the mountain and became a place of pilgrimage, which was attended by local Turkmen women. Women who visit the tomb tied ribbons on branches of a nearby tree while they make dreams.

Hisar is one of the few scientists in the world who has been researching these headstones. With regard to the cemetery, the headstones on it are of two kinds – oblong ones, resembling male genitalia, and more compact ones that resemble female breasts. It is assumed that the headstones are erected in accordance with sex of the dead.

Moreover, there are 600 tombstones, resembling the intimate organs of men and women. According to Turkish media, the meaning of shape of these gravestones still remains a puzzle.
