Vice speaker of Armenian parliament resigns

Vice Speaker of the Armenian National Assembly from Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) Arevik Petroyan handed in her resignation. According to the Secretary of the Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) Khachik Galstyan, another candidate will be nominated for the post. However, Galstyan failed to specify who the candidate will be, saying that it will be clear in October.

He also did not explain Petrosyan’s reasons for his resignation. Secretary of the Prosperous Armenia parliamentary faction Aram Safaryan and the Chairwoman of the Parliamentary Commission for European Integration Naira Zohrabyan, have stated they do not intend to assume the post of the vice speaker.
