Heavy snowfall strands cars at Turkish city

Heavy snowfall has paralyzed traffic at both Bolu Mountain Tunnel on TEM Motorway and Bolu Mountain section of the D-100 highway.
Many vehicles were stranded at Istanbul-Ankara section of the Bolu Mountain Tunnel because of icy road and heavy snowfall.

Efforts of the traffic teams are underway to rescue the stranded vehicles.

Officials meanwhile said snow thickness reached 10 cm on Bolu Mountain and warned the drivers to be careful against snowfall, fog and slippery roads.
