Turkish intelligence service to make every effort to address terror problem

Turkish intelligence service like other government agencies, will do its utmost to solve terror problem in the country, the Haberturk newspaper quotes Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan as saying.

Erdogan said that if it would be necessary to meet with the head of the terrorist Kurdistan Workers' Party Abdullah Ocalan, who is serving a life sentence in a prison on the Imrali Island, in order to solve this problem, the head of intelligence service can meet him.

The conflict between Turkey and the PKK has lasted for over 25 years. The PKK is recognized as a terrorist organization by both the UN and the EU.
