Four million lari issued for Georgian opposition

The leader of the Georgian parliamentary group Unity for the Sake of Justice, Gia Tsagareishvili received a response to his request from the General Prosecutor asking for information on the funding of opposition parties by billionaire Bidzina Ivanishvili. The response was signed by Attorney General Murtaza Zodelava , he told journalists.

The prosecutor's office reported that the People's Party of Georgia received 100 000 lari from the Kartu bank and the same amount from Finservice, Elite Burj, the Kartu Groups, Card Management, Interconsulting Kala Capital, and Colchis.

In December the Conservative Party received 100 000 lari from the following companies: Complex Service, Hit, Burj, Kartu Groups, Card Management, Burj Elite, Finservice, Colchis and Kala Capital.

The Republican Party received 100 000 lari from the following: Kartu Bank, Burj, Kompleksservis, Kartu Group, Burj, Finservice, Interconsulting Plus and Elite Burj, Kartu Holding in November 2011. The party received 100.000 lari from Kala Capital, and Colchis in December
The Free Democrats received 100 000 lari each from the Bank Card, Kartu Groups, Finservice, Interconsulting Plus, Elite Burj, Card Management, Card holding, Kala Capital and Colchis.
A total of four opposition parties received about four million lari, a million each.
