Azerbaijan-Israel ties expand year by year

First Vice Speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament, chairman of the Committee on Defense and Security Ziyafat Asgarov yesterday met a delegation of the Israeli Foreign Ministry. Asgarov said relations between the two countries and peoples were strengthening even more.

The First Vice Speaker stressed the role of parliaments in development of bilateral cooperation.
Asgarov specially noted the activity of friendship groups in the parliaments. Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel Rafael Barak expressed pleasure with their visit to Azerbaijan.

He hailed the fact that Azerbaijan-Israel ties were expanding year by year. Rafael Barak congratulated Azerbaijan on election as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council. At the meeting, they discussed prospects for cooperation between Azerbaijan and Israel in a variety of fields, as well as interparliamentary relations.
